Le agradecemos al Dr. Romano el interés que demuestra en el tema.
Sin embargo es importante destacar que desde la década del 50 con los estudios de Richard Doll de la Universidad de Oxford (1) la comunidad científica acepta que el consumo habitual de tabaco es un factor de riesgo muy importante para el cáncer de pulmón y otros cánceres.
El primer trabajo de Doll fue un estudio de casos y controles y poco después comenzó un estudio de cohortes en médicos de Inglaterra comparando los fumadores y no fumadores con resultados concluyentes.......
